Senior Spotlight: Victoria

Victoria, a senior at CICS Longwood High School, reflects the power of a familiar and supportive learning community. From a bright-eyed Kindergartener to a confident senior at CICS Longwood High School, the CICS Loomis-Longwood campus has been home for nearly her entire educational life!

After attending CICS Loomis and CICS Longwood Elementary, the familiar staff and being part of a community that knows her solidified her decision to finish strong at CICS Longwood High School. Now, she is on track to graduate in the top 10 in her class! Her family's commitment to the campus is evident across all three schools: her brother is now a CICS Longwood High School Freshman, and her youngest brother attends CICS Longwood Elementary. This family atmosphere is further strengthened by her parents' deep involvement and regular attendance at school events.

Reflecting on her growth, Victoria shares, "Because the teachers here have seen me grow since elementary school, they push me to take on leadership roles I wouldn't have considered. That support is how I learned to speak up and lead." The campus’s unique culture feels like a family to Victoria, where the staff knows every student. “Even as a senior, I feel like I can go to any teacher for anything,” she says. “It’s what makes me love coming to school."

Victoria’s academic achievements are just one piece of her story; she has shaped the school’s community throughout her high school career. She serves as a leader in several groups, including Student Community Council, Panthers 4 Peace, and Crown Me. Through these roles, she has been integral in organizing fundraisers, winter coat drives, and hosting parent and community game nights to strengthen the campus partnership. On top of that, she’s a key player on the girls volleyball team and cheerleading squad, acting as a mentor to younger students.

Looking beyond graduation, Victoria harbors big dreams of becoming a forensic psychologist. With a passion for murder mystery shows and podcasts, she discovered the field as the perfect avenue to blend her interests with a meaningful career. To prepare, she has leveraged dual enrollment opportunities at Kennedy-King College and high-impact classes like OneGoal and various AP courses, gaining practical tools and vital insights to navigate life after high school.

Victoria’s journey—from her first steps as a Kindergartener at CICS Loomis through her final steps as a CICS Longwood High School Senior—is a powerful testament to a community that nurtures growth from start to finish, setting her up to choose the incredible future she envisions.
